The iconic Pascual Guerrero Olympic Stadium, headquarters of América de Cali, will host tomorrow, starting at 7:00 pm (6:00 pm in El Salvador), the inauguration of the I Cali-Valle Junior Pan American Games 2021.

During the kickoff event, the Salvadoran delegation will be led by flag bearers Paola Corado, for archery, and Uriel Canjura, for badminton. In total they are 66 Cuscatleco athletes (41 women and 25 men) those who will compete in 20 sports disciplines.

Little is known about the opening event, since the organizing committee of the competition suspiciously guards the details of what, they assure, will be a show never seen before. What they did advance is that one of the invited artists will be the singer Fanny Lu, originally from Cali, and there will be cultural events from Cali and Cauca.

“We have had difficulties, but we are certain that we will meet the youth of the continent. Thanks to the artist who will cheer us on tomorrow ”, expressed Baltazar Medina, president of the organizing committee of the games.

In the first edition of the youth Pan-American fair they will participate 3,688 athletes from 41 countries who will compete in 30 sports disciplines.

The Pascual Guerrero Stadium has previously hosted important sporting events such as the VI Pan American Games in 1971, the National Games in 1954 and 2008, the 2001 Copa América and seven Copa Libertadores de América finals.
