Shot of the Nettuno Bc 1945 who hires the Dutch receiver Rudy Van Heydoorn, fresh from a five-season experience in the Japanese independent leagues. Originally from Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, where he was born on April 17, 1989, Rudy Van Heydoorn has a passport from the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The neo-Lazio started his professional career in the Rookie League in 2007 with the organization of the Seattle Mariners with whom he went up to single A. In 2012 he moved to the Dutch Hoofdklasse with Amsterdam and in 2013 he moved at Neptunus Rotterdam in a season with 7 home runs. The Dutch national team also arrives for Rudy. With the orange jersey he plays a European championship, a Haarlem Week and a World Port Tournamet. In 2014 Van Heydoorn he landed in Italy hired by Collecchio, in A Federale, to then wear the Verona jersey. After the Italian parenthesis, he moved to Japan hired by Pirates Ehime Manadrin in the Shikoku Island Independent League. The excellent numbers earned him the move from 2020 to the BC League, the highest level independent league in Japan.

In five seasons in the East he won three titles, two with the Pirates in the Shikoku Island League and one in the BC League with the Nagano team in 2020, also winning his second prize as MVP in Japan. In 2021, still in Nagano, he closes the season with 8 home runs, bringing the total number of homeruns in Japan to 35.

In short, the Neptune of manager Fabrizio Ludovisi finds himself in his hands a great professional and a power hitter.
