RB Leipzig: coach Jesse Marsch and goalkeeper Peter Gulácsi tested positive – Bundesliga

Alarm at RB Leipzig before the important final on Wednesday!

Trainer Jesse Marsch (48) has been infected with Corona! Goalkeeper Peter Gulácsi (31) had a first quick test that was positive. Now the club is waiting for him for the result of the PCR test. Both have gone into isolation.

The club confirmed this early Tuesday afternoon. According to RB Leipzig, all players and staff members in the club are either fully vaccinated or have recovered.

Co-trainer Marco Kurth (43) also has to be in domestic isolation. There was a positive Corona case in his closest environment, Kurth was identified as contact person 1. Kurth himself has not tested positive.

All of this just before the decisive game on Wednesday (9 p.m.) in the Champions League!

For RB it is against Bruges to qualify for the Europa League. For the Saxons only victory counts! After four games, Leipzig only has one point in their account, Bruges already four.

The team will look after assistant coach Achim Beierlorzer (54) in Bruges.
