Rafael Santos Borré, present at the agonizing victory of Eintracht Frankfurt: 2-1 against Unión Berlin | Colombians Abroad

Eintracht Frankfurt, a team in which striker Rafael Santos Borré plays, won 2-1 at home, this Sunday against Unión Berlin, for the Bundesliga.

The ‘black eagles’ began with the entire match, having as a reference in attack the former Deportivo Cali player. Borré had the first opportunity to open the scoring over 6 minutes of play, he defined in a spectacular way over the rival goalkeeper, but an offside did not allow him to celebrate his score.

Minutes later, Swiss midfielder Djibril Sow scored for Eintracht, so much so that it earned the Frankfurt team to take the lead.

The Colombian forward, as usual, was unsettling in the game, pivoting and working for the team. His teammates looked for him on different occasions, but the bow did not open to the Barranquilla striker.

In the second half, a Berlin Union was seen with more projection in attack, and on 62 ‘they conceded the tie thanks to a charge from the penalty spot, converted by German striker Max Kruse.

Minutes later, Santos Borré would be replaced by his teammate Goncalo Paciencia, a 27-year-old Portuguese forward.

At the end of the game and after an agonizing closure, the winning goal for Eintracht Frankfurt appeared, with a score from Evan N’Dicka, who headed in an uncomfortable way and sent the ball to be saved on the right post of the opposing goalkeeper.

With this victory, the Colombian team added 18 units, placing it two points away from European competitions. Eintracht Frankfurt’s next game will be away, when it faces Hoffenheim.
