Province comes with subsidy scheme for tennis, badminton and volleyball fields

by archysport

– The province of Gelderland wants to stimulate outdoor sports and is therefore launching a subsidy for net sports fields together with the Dutch Volleyball Association. These are, for example, tennis, badminton or volleyball. From January 10, 2022, anyone can apply for a subsidy for the construction of a net sports field in the outdoor area.

The subsidy was created in the run-up to the World Volleyball Championship for Women 2022. On a net sports field, everyone can play his or her favorite net sport in the open air. The subsidy amounts to € 4000 per net sports field. The subsidy is increased by €1000 if the programming continues to provide activities aimed at people with disabilities or if the programming provides for activities aimed at people from the immediate vicinity of the net sports field who have a low socio-economic status.

Weatherproof and bastard proof

A net sports field is a sports field of 5 by 12 meters and consists of a permanently installed, durable 5 meter wide outdoor sports net. The net is easily adjustable in height and meets the requirements for a safe device. The outdoor sports net is weather-resistant and vandal-proof.

The 2022 World Volleyball Championship for Women will take place in the Netherlands for the first time in history. From September 23 to October 15, 2022, 24 countries from five different continents will compete against each other. In total, more than 100 matches will be played. Most of the event takes place in the province of Gelderland, with Arnhem and Apeldoorn as playing locations.
