PONT-SAINT-ESPRIT Dense one-day program for the Telethon

Pont-Saint-Esprit was one of the rare communes to have managed to maintain a program for the Telethon last year. This year, it is continuing its efforts by offering a dense one-day program on Saturday, December 4.

The idea is to offer “A four-part program”, summarizes the Assistant to Sports, Thomas Poyet. The first of these times is in the morning, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the market with an oyster / white wine stand and the sale of collectibles and a parade of racing cars along the aisles, followed by an exhibition of cars in the courtyard of the Cazerne.

It will be possible to get into the cars for baptisms on a closed road from the Clos Bon-Aure in the afternoon. Le Clos Bon-Aure which will host the second part of this day of Telethon, with sporting challenges offered by the Tennis club spiripontain, Arc club spiripontain, Judo club spiripontain, La Draille et les Genêts, Team Green, An Be Donke, SYSA Gym and FCBP. Each challenge costs 2 euros, a snack stand will be on site hosted by the Désibel orchestra. All from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Third time in the courtyard of the Cazerne, with the sale of lighting accessories to create the giant luminous logo of the Telethon from 5 p.m. In 2019, 400 people participated in the giant logo, the organizers expect at least as much. The sequence will be animated by Fanfarus Spiritus. Meanwhile, Frontales et boussoles will offer a night race in the streets of Pont, “A bicycle for two”, open with or without a bicycle.

Finally, the fourth fastest time was suspended at the end of last week. This is a big “Fluo party” from 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Cazerne village hall hosted by DJ Franky from the Bin’s Club. “The new protocol imposes control of the health pass and identity, which complicates the organization”, notes Thomas Poyet, who also puts into perspective the bad figures of the covid pandemic in the Gard. A decision must be made within the week on this part of the program.

Note also that Planet’Ados will participate with a cooking competition, and that the merchants of the ECAU association are doing a raffle for the benefit of the Telethon.
