Police and Vikings personnel visit Everson Griffen’s home after 911 call

While the Vikings celebrate their victory About the Packers Everson Griffen has put the organization in predicament with its extra sport problems.

The Minnetrista, Minnesota Department of Public Safety reported that they attended a defensive end call made at 3:00 a.m. local time (4:00 Eastern), in which Griffen was asking for help because an individual had entered his home illegally.

The defender himself revealed that he fired a gun inside his home without anyone being injured. The situation escalated when Griffen shared a video, later deleted, on his social networks in which He indicated that someone was trying to kill him and claimed that he had legal possession of the pistol.

After attending Griffen’s home, police officers did not find a possible invader and they denoted that the 33-year-old player refused to leave his property.

As a consequence of the incident, mental health professionals of the Vikings attended Griffen’s house to serve as mediators between the police and the player.

“Representatives from the Vikings and the team’s mental health professionals have been at Griffen’s home early and cooperate with law enforcement,” the club explained in a statement. “Our only concern at this time is the health and well-being of Everson and his family. We will provide more details at the appropriate time. “

Recurring problem

This is not the first time that Griffen has had problems of this kind during his career. In September 2018, Griffen’s partner requested help from police after the defender behaved erratically.

After the incident, Griffen entered a rehab home and missed the last five games of the season.
