Plouay. Pierre Le Seyec, dean of the town, died at the age of 100

Pierre Le Seyec was born on March 18, 1921 in the village of Montguern, in Guern (Morbihan).

Son of farmers and 3e from a family of five children, he tended cows from the age of 7. This is how he met Léontine, at the age of 10. He married her, several years later, in January 1943. The couple had two children who gave them two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pierre had been a widower since June 2019. His two children are also deceased. After having lived for many years in the city of La Chaumière, he returned, in February 2019, to the Louis-Ropert residence, To Plouay (Morbihan).

A busy life

Pierre Le Seyec obtained his studies certificate and became a lumberjack at 19. Then, he returned to the SNCF, as a train driver and apprentice trainer. He will end his professional career as an insurance agent. Upon retirement, he began a new career as a volunteer.

With a group of friends, he lays the foundations for theFriendly plouaysienne and was elected vice-president on July 19, 1975, during the first board of directors. At that time, there was only one leisure section, football. But very quickly the club grew rich with the cycling, pétanque and judo sections. The Plouaysian association now has ten sections.

Pierre Le Seyec will be the club’s financial manager for ten years, while managing the finances of judo.

He was also passionate about pétanque and angling. Everyone remembers his great kindness and his dedication, especially for young people.

His funeral will be celebrated Thursday, November 25, 2021, at 2 p.m., in the church of Plouay, followed by cremation.
