Judo teacher for 30 years at the Amicale laïque, Stéphane Barras has just obtained with “good” the grade red white belt 6th dan judo jujitsu. The presentation of his new belt will take place in Paris, on January 19, during the greeting ceremony of the French Judo Federation.

“I am now training the third generation”

Met on Wednesday November 24, the man, much appreciated by his students for his humanity and his listening skills, emphasizes with a big smile: “I am now training the third generation”.

“At the Paris Judo Institute, Saturday, November 20, I was accompanied by two very high quality partners, Bruno Arnaison, 6th dan black belt, and Djeson Laran, 2nd dan. Without them, nothing would have been possible. The course of the exam, lasting 30 minutes, was made up of four parts: the kata (imposed figures), standing-ground technical work, and jujitsu. I feel great individual but also collective satisfaction ”, explained the professor.
