OKTAGON shocked! He announced a replacement for Vémol. The Slovak champion can write history

It is barely a few days since Karlos Vémola announced that he would not be able to start the December title match against Samuel Krištofič due to injuries. OKTAGON thus had to find a substitute, whom he announced quite soon. Patrik Kincl is returning to the Czech-Slovak scene to fight for the middleweight champion’s belt.

“We’ve been thinking for two months that Carlos could get hurt at any time. We knew that we would have to prepare several backup variants. We had Patrik Kincl and Apollo in our heads, and there were also big discussions about Michal Ragozin, “said promoter Ondřej Novotný at a press conference.

“I think it’s good in the finals. I really like Karla. But it’s better if he rests now and just swaps parts like a Terminator. It is a huge complication for us, Karlos is irreplaceable to anyone, “Novotný added in an interview for Sport.cz.

Kincl returns to the home scene after two years. He last competed in the Prague Fight Night tournament, after which he headed to the Polish organization KSW, where he gradually worked his way up to the title chance, in which, however, he failed. Now, however, he is returning to the domestic audience. In the title match, he will challenge Samuel Krištofič, who is the provisional king.

“The match was baked very quickly. Ondra told me that there was a possibility that Carlos would not come in and in a few hours, when I was returning to the sauna, I missed the call that there would be no match and if I was going to do it, “said Kincl.

In the battle of December, he will replace Carlos Vémol, with whom he wrestled three years ago. That’s when the Terminator won on points.

“For me, it’s such a checkmate to win a title. If Karel returns, he will have to fight me. There is nowhere else to go. I have to show that I deserve the revenge I want and that I am the Czech-Slovak number one, “added the 32-year-old wrestler.

And there’s another delicacy. On December 4, David Kozma and Ivan Buchinger will meet in the toughest city in the country, ie in Ostrava. The former will guard the belt of the king of the fair weight in front of the Slovak fighter, who is also a two-time champion. After a light and spring weight, he can claim a third title, which no one has ever done before.

At the same time, there has long been speculation about Kozm’s opponent. The name was Petr Kníže, who won in the last match against Kaik Brit. However, the Czech wrestler took scars from the match and would not be able to put himself in order until the December duel.

His place in the cage will be taken by the Slovak champion Ivan Buchinger. He will try to get a third belt in a single organization in a duel of generations, which is unparalleled. Buki, as Buchinger is nicknamed, won his first title in January of this year, and in September he also won a lightweight belt.

Now Buchinger is ready to capture the third title, in addition to a single year. However, undefeated David Kozma will stand against him in OKTAGON. The Pink Panther dealt with Leander Apollo in the last measurement of strength, thanks to which he managed to defend his title for the third time. Will he be able to do the fourth one?
