Ingus Eiduks, 61, was fully vaccinated against Covid-19 with the AstraZeneca vaccine, but a test in early October showed a positive illness. His health deteriorated rapidly, and two days later the family called for emergency medical help.

The next day, the man’s condition continued to deteriorate, and the family called the doctor again, and this time the patient was taken to hospital. But three weeks later, Ingus Eiduks died at the hospital.
Eiduka’s daughter did not agree with the conversation with Latvian Television, but in an interview the newspaper expressed her incomprehension as to why her father was not taken to the hospital when the ambulance was called for the first time.
Recommendations prepared by Riga Stradins University experts for the treatment of Covid-19 patients also state that one of the criteria for hospitalization is oxygen saturation in the blood of less than 90%.
However, the NMPD version of what happened is different from what was described in the newspaper.

The Ministry of Health (MoH) informs that in such cases, relatives may apply to the Health Inspectorate.

The Eiduk family does not plan to file a complaint with the Health Inspectorate yet.
