NFL: Washington wins 17-15, Seattle gets bogged down

Washington won 17-15 over the Seattle Seahawks in Monday night’s game.

The Seahawks have now lost five of their last six games.

They had opened the scoring, however, as Russell Wilson threw a touchdown pass to Gerald Everett.

After scoring a field goal, Washington took the lead in the second quarter when JD McKissic caught a short pass from Taylor Heinicke for the touchdown. Joey Slye’s one-point transformation was missed, however, as his kick was blocked and recovered.

McKissic added another touchdown in the third quarter and then the Seahawks also in the fourth thanks to Freddie Swain with less than a minute to go. They attempted the two-point conversion hoping to draw a tie, without success, as Wilson’s pass was intercepted.

More details to come.
