Taysom Hill received a unique contract extension from the New Orleans Saints on Monday.
Given his versatility, the player who can serve both on special teams and as a quarterback will be able to get his hands on an amount between $ 40 million and $ 95 million depending on his position. Adam Schefter from ESPN specified that of this sum, an amount of $ 22.5 million was guaranteed.
The latter specifies that with Hill’s current role with the Saints, he should get $ 40 million, but if he ever were to become the team’s starting quarterback, then he could see that amount climb with an additional $ 55 million.
In seven games this season, the 31-year-old completed seven of his eight passes for 56 yards and was intercepted as a quarterback. Last season, he racked up 92 passing yards and recorded four touchdowns and two interceptions.
