NFL Betting Trends Week 12 – Season 2021

Welcome to NFL betting trends Week 12. Last week, three of the five most popular teams among bettors failed to cover their line and cost their backers money. As if that were not enough, the Tennessee Titans lost 22-13 to the Texans despite being favorites by 10.5 points.

Guess which side the people were on and which side the casino was on? So that the same does not happen to them, we leave you the most popular bets among the people for this week.

Atlanta Falcons @ Jacksonville Jaguars

76% of the bets are with Falcons -1

Just a few weeks ago, Atlanta owned 7th place in the NFC and looked like a potential playoff team, but since then its offense has disappeared and it has only had three points in two games.

I don’t have the guts to back any of these teams, but if you think Atlanta should comfortably beat a disastrous Jacksonville team, stop for a second. According to the DVOA rankings, Jacksonville is ranked 28th in the NFL. Atlanta? 32. Plop!

Seattle Seahawks @ Washington Football Team

75% of the bets are with Washington -1

We all believed that the return of Russell Wilson would catapult the Seahawks to the playoffs, right? Instead, Seattle has lost its last two meetings, they have the second-worst record in the NFC and Wilson has thrown two interceptions, zero touchdowns and averaging 184 passing yards since his return.

This week he faces the second worst defense in the NFL according to the DVOA, so I’m willing to give him one last chance and take it out on 75% of punters who want to take it out on Seattle.

Los Angeles Chargers @ Denver Broncos

74% of bets are on Chargers -3

Los Angeles is a better team than Denver in most departments, except for one: the run defense. The Chargers are the worst team when it comes to defending the running game, so an offense capable of moving the ball on the ground and controlling the time of possession should be able to contain them… mAbout what the Broncos did against the Cowboys when they beat them 30-16 with 190 rushing yards.

Philadelphia Eagles @ New York Giants

72% of bets are with Eagles -3.5

Tell no one, but Philadelphia has won three of its last four games and is about to hit .500 and jump into the conversation as a potential playoff team.

In this period they have been the team that has run the most in the entire NFL in first and second chances and they have become the third best running offense in the league. It is a great matchup for the Eagles, as the Giants are the third-worst defense against the run.

If the line reaches 3, Philadelphia would be a good option, meanwhile better step.

Carolina Panthers @ Miami Dolphins

70% of the bets are with Panthers -2.5

Both offenses will have trouble moving the ball through the air, so the match is likely to be defined by who can run most efficiently. I put my money on Carolina, which is the 19th running offense, while Miami is the third worst in the NFL.

Despite the percentage of bets in favor of Panthers, the line is moving naturally, opened at -1 and goes at -2.5, which means that the bets with Carolina come from professionals.
