NBA: Superstar James suspended after a punch

Stewart has been suspended for two games and is not allowed to play against the Miami Heat on Tuesday or the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday for the Detroit Pistons. The NBA announced the decisions on Monday.

James hit Stewart in the face on Sunday and was thrown off the field because of it. Stewart was bleeding and so furious that he had to be held back several times by teammates and supervisors. The Lakers and Pistons meet again on Sunday in Los Angeles.

Spurs and Pöltl cannot stop Suns

The San Antonio Spurs called on the Phoenix Suns on Monday, but could not stop them. With a trembling 115: 111 at the end, the team from Arizona celebrated their 13th win in a row. The Texans, in turn, lost for the fifth time in a row.

Spurs center Jakob Pöltl barely missed a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. He also recorded two assists in 31:15 minutes. In his second appearance after being released from the league’s “health and safety protocol”, Austria’s NBA pioneer returned to the starting line-up.

The fact that the game, which had been controlled by the Suns for a long time, became exciting again in the fourth quarter was also due to Pöltl, who scored six points within just under two minutes and brought his team to 95: 100. Even after the next 10-0 run by the guests, the Spurs did not give up. “We fought our way up very well in the end, but were unable to prevent them from scoring too often,” said the Viennese. Pöltl surpassed 1,500 points in the dress of San Antonio on Monday and is currently at 1,502.

For the Spurs, who have only recorded four wins after 16 games this season, the duel with Phoenix was the first of four home games in a row. On Wednesday the Atlanta Hawks will face, on Friday the Boston Celtics and on Monday the Washington Wizards will come to “Alamo City”.

Tatum shines again with Celtics victory

Boston had more staff on board than last on board in the 108:90 win against bottom rankings Houston Rockets with Jaylen Brown and Robert Williams III. The duo reported back after eight or three missed games.

The offensive command for the record champions was once again with Jayson Tatum, who broke the 30-point mark in his team’s third win in a row – on Monday evening the 23-year-old posted exactly 30 points. The Rockets lost for the 15th time in a row and still hold after 17 games with only one win of the season.

In the Eastern Conference, a 77-109 home defeat for the Chicago Bulls against the Indiana Pacers ended the pair skating at the top. The Brooklyn Nets are now alone ahead after a 117: 112 win at the Cleveland Cavaliers.
