Muskiz’s first paddle tennis tournament starts with 40 participants

The event, which will add fifty games until Christmas, was born from the El Cerro sports association with a vocation for continuity

The pandemic this year left Muskiz without the traditional mendicale test of Mello Saria, but the sports and cultural association El Cerro will give a new opportunity to practice sports to interested residents. For this this year it has organized its first local paddle tennis tournament, which in this first edition will be limited to the people of the municipality.

The event has started this Thursday with 40 participants registered in 20 couples, who will fight on the three tracks set up at the Muskiz sports center until dates close to Christmas, when the finals will be played. The mayor, Ainara Leiba, has taken part in the inauguration of the test, which will add fifty games during its development.

The aim of the championship will be to increase the passion for this sport in the town and become an annual event open to participants from outside the town as well. This same year, the limitation of registrations to registered people already left some interested parties out of the tournament. The inscriptions will serve to cover the cost of the material used in the championship.
