MLB News: Shohei Ohtani, 1st player to make two All-MLB teams in the same year

For the third year, the MLB unveiled its ideal teams for the 2021 season, the process included a vote in which 50% was taken from fans and 50% from experts.

The first two ideal Major League Baseball teams were chosen and each set included a catcher, a first baseman, a second baseman, a shortstop, a third baseman, three outfielders, a designated hitter, five starting pitchers and two relief pitchers.

Dodgers, the team with the most players

The reigning American League MVP, Shohei Ohtani, was the first player to be on two ideal teams as designated hitter for the first team and starting pitcher for the second team.

The franchise that added the most elements between the two ideal teams was the Los angeles dodgers with five players.

The announcement was made live on MLB Network.
