Au Dojo de Mauron (Morbihan), Marine and Gurvan Bourse received their black judo belts. A beautiful stage greeted by all the practitioners present and the emotion of their parents, Laurent and Sabrina.

Laurent and the children

“I practiced in my youth, but I quit before the black belt. We started in Merdrignac, then one day we came to the Dojo mauronnais and we all stayed there, more practitioners, more atmosphere. We feel good ! I started again in 2011 after 30 years of interruption, to pass my black belt in 2015 ”.

Laurent Bourse, the father.

A step for Laurent, but the whole family follows. “Our eldest William practiced 10 years, up to the brown belt. All the children set foot on the tatami when they were 5 years old, a family boost ”.

Two children in black

Marine, 20, and Gurvan, soon to be 18, obtained their black belts at the same time, September 25 in Loudéac. But it takes a few weeks to get the official passport and the handover took place on Friday.

For Marine, “ the values of judo are projectable in everyday life: benevolence, solidarity and respect for others. Violence does not solve problems ”.

Gurvan says that “my father made us come, never imposed. It was out of taste that I continued judo. Quite athletic, I also played football before. I appreciate the dynamism, the atmosphere and the practice of sport. As for Marine, the values of judo are essential ”.

“The black belt is not an end in itself,” emphasizes Professor Pierre Duren. Both are already preparing for the next stage, second dan. And for Gurvan a probable entry into the gendarmerie.

And the others too

And the story doesn’t end there. Mom, Sabrina, started judo in 2017, “I was tired of sitting on the bench watching.” The young Léann, 15 years old with a brown belt, is preparing for the passage of the black.

For the youngest, Anthyme, at 10 he still has a few years to progress, in a favorable context. More than to follow the examples.

The General Assembly of the Dojo mauronnais will take place on November 26 at 10:15 a.m. at the social center of Mauron
