Margaux Pinot victim of domestic violence, her companion arrested

On the night of Saturday to last Sunday, his companion Alain schmitt was arrested in Seine-Saint-Denis for domestic violence.

According to police sources reported by AFP, Alain Schmitt, trainer and former member of the French judo team, was taken into custody before a trial for immediate appearance at the Bobigny court on Tuesday afternoon, according to information from the Bobigny prosecutor’s office. A 38-year-old former athlete, Margaux Pinot’s companion was arrested around 2:30 am Sunday November 28 in Blanc-Mesnil, after an emergency call from a neighbor where the young judokate had found refuge.

Many blows to the face and 8 days of ITT

According to AFP, which quotes police sources, Alain Schmitt was in a drunken state at the time of his arrest. Margaux Pinot for her part received many blows to the face from her companion before being taken to the Avicenne hospital in Bobigny for treatment. After consultation, the young woman was prescribed more than eight days of ITT, according to the prosecution.

Very recently, in an interview given to The Spirit of Judo, Alain Schmitt announced that he was leaving the Blanc-Mesnil club to become coach of the Israeli women’s team. Bronze medalist at the 2013 Worlds in the -81 kg category, he became a coach at the end of his career. He takes care of his partner Margaux Pinot within the Etoile Sportive club of Blanc-Mesnil.
