The Ensenada Municipal Children’s and Youth Baseball League inaugurated its Official Selective Tournament 2021-2022, dedicated to Jos Paz Carballo Amador.
A total of 42 novenas, divided into the categories Pre Initiation, Initiation, Pre Infant, Infant, Pre Junior and Junior, will be looking for the title.
At the Antonio Palacios Rodrguez sports field, the teams and players who were protagonists of the 2021 Lightning Tournament were also awarded.
As well as the players who represented Baja California in National Championships and Mexico international events.
SPECIAL GUESTS
Sergio Alejandro Ayala Laveaga, president of the Sports Commission of the XXIV Ensenada City Council; Renzo Elizondo, general director of the Municipal Institute of Sports and Recreation of Ensenada; Manuel Carrillo Rodrguez, secretary of the Baja California State Baseball Association.
In addition to Francisco Chvez Jimnez, director of Infantile and Youth Leagues of Baja California; Gustavo Orozco, director of Region 1; councilor Brenda Valenzuela; Roberto Beltrn Ramonetti, head of the Department of Associated Sports of INDE.
The opening ceremony was attended by: Laura Elena Marmolejo Toscano, delegate of the Baja California Institute of Sports and Physical Culture in Ensenada; Miguel Cisneros, president of the corps of ampyeres.
At the table of honor were: Fausto Estrada Beltrn, director of the Baja California Women’s Leagues; Fabiel Godnez, scar Solorio and Francisco Grajeda, presidents of the Urbana de Chapultepec, Rural Children and Youth of Maneadero and Rural Leagues of El Sauzal.
The person in charge of welcoming the family of the honoree was Israel Lpez Ros, president of the Board of Directors of Lijube.
Rosa Amador, wife of Jos Paz Carballo, made the ceremonial pitch of the first ball, with Sergio Ayala as catcher and Laura Marmolejo in the batter’s box.
