Lessons of Week 12 NFL 2021 – Cam is done

This is the analysis with what was learned in the lessons of the Week 12 of the NFL Season 2021. NOTE: This article will be updated after the game on Monday night.

CHI 16, DET 14

1. The only thing that one can ask in these games that play such bad teams is that it be fought at the end. Done.

2. This was the last, if not the penultimate, chance for the Lions to win a game. Obviously, 0-15-1 doesn’t look as bad as 0-16, but still, what a shame, because they would have an 0-16 season and an 0-15-1 season as a franchise.

LVR 36, DAL 33 (OT)

3. Dallas fired up in the fourth quarter, but against a bad defense that shouldn’t be a source of pride. In addition, they are losing their offensive identity a bit: they are a 100% running team, do not forget them.

4. DeSean Jackson came to correctly fill the role that Henry Ruggs was playing. It gives another dimension to the offense that Carr knows how to exploit.

BUF 31, NO 6

5. It was the perfect time and place for the Bills to return to a good level: on national TV and against a team heavily decimated by injuries. Well taken advantage of the opportunity.

6. I don’t understand: now you give Taysom Hill a big contract extension and for Sean Payton there is still no doubt that Trevor Siemian is the starter? Sometimes teams just do weird things.

CIN 41, PIT 10

7. Joe Mixon is finally standing out with a great offensive team around him, and he’s been doing it all year. If GM manages to improve the offensive line to Joe Burrow and they manage to land a couple of key pieces on defense, Cincinnati will be a contender as early as 2022.

8. Not even the return of TJ Watt and Minkah Fitzpatrick helped the Steelers even put up a little bit of war.

TB 38, IND 31

9. Spectacular effort by the Colts, and with everything and the defeat they showed that they are a careful team. They should use that Carson Wentz arm cannon more often.

10. Brady being Brady. When the party is in the balance, it will stand out, almost always. And if you also give him such a productive running game, it’s hard for his team to lose.

MIA 33, CAR 10

11. I don’t know when the Panthers thought Cam Newton was a upgrade about PJ Walker. At this point in the season, it was better to give the unknown. Cam Newton should no longer be a starter in the NFL.

12. What a good selection the Dolphins with Jaylen Waddle, is going to be a great player in the future. Now he is already very explosive and has a great field vision to read defenses.

NE 36, TEN 13

13. The Patriots are proving every week that they are a fully up-arrow team and that Bill Belichick is one of the best coaches in history.

14.- The luck of the Titans has been too bad, and not only because of the injuries. In this game, if a couple of plays had had another result, it would have been another game entirely. Too bad, this time the teacher taught the student.

NYG 13, PH 7

15. Although Jalen Hurts made major mistakes in this game, by the time the score was in the balance, he made the plays he had to make to win it, and his receivers missed him.

16. Defense is the foundation of the Giants team, and while it’s not the best thing to accept for a team in 2021, it’s what they have to embrace in order to win games. They just need Saquon Barkley to get back to a more acceptable level for that defense to stay rested.

ATL 21, JAX 14

17. We had commented that this is the typical team that the Falcons beat: a very bad one without much to compete with. Even so, as always, they were complicating the game at the end; It is impressive how it seems that each game they go up in the last quarter they get smaller.

18. Salvageable things about the Jaguars offense for next year, besides Cam Robinson and obviously Trevor Lawrence: they have to keep and give Dan Arnold more work, and obviously keep developing Jamal Agnew and Laviska Shenault.

NYJ 21, HOU 14

19. With everything and the victory, a typical rookie trait I see in Zach Wilson: he keeps the ball in his possession too long. Mike LaFleur’s number one job is to teach you how to get rid of the ball fast.

20. Houston is one of those teams that you don’t even know around which players are going to build the future. Also, this year the draft doesn’t have great quarterbacks, at least on paper.

DEN 28, LAC 13

21. What is the problem with these Chargers? Is it a franchise culture problem that still weighs on them? I’m convinced that Herbert is the answer to fix that, I’m just not sure if Brandon Staley helps or affects.

22. It is proving this year that an efficient running game always helps control games. Melvin Gordon’s 4.9 yards per carry certainly helped this time. The veteran continues to have glimpses of being a good RB1.

GB 36, LAR 28

23. That Rodgers has an injured finger? I do not see it. 302 yards and 3 touchdowns for this great. Big match, and it does not shrink.

24. What’s wrong with the Rams? Matt Stafford’s numbers in recent weeks are deplorable. I wonder now what pretext Sean McVay will use. The good thing is that there is still a season and they can still get into a good rhythm.

SF 34, MIN 26

25. Returning to the argument of the running game. I don’t have the data, but I am convinced that every time the 49ers rush for more than 190 yards, they have a practically perfect record. But yes: they pray to God that Deebo Samuel’s injury is not serious.

26. Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen remain one of the best catching pairs in the NFL. In addition, the Vikings coaching staff has known how to use them perfectly, accentuating their skills. Cheer up to the Vikings, they still have a good chance of qualifying.

BAL 16, CLE 10

27. Rough and heavily played game, where the best team came out ahead. Lamar Jackson played very poorly, yet still got another win, a testament to how valuable he is as a quarterback – he finds a way to win.

28. If you focus on stopping the Browns’ running game and you succeed, I don’t see how they can win. Baker Mayfield has nothing to do with, right now.
