LeBron validates a big criticism on the Lakers!

LeBron James is an absolute winner and perfectionist, but he also knows how to take criticism when it is warranted. In this case, he underlined an absolutely truthful comment from an analyst, about the Lakers. That’s good, it would have been impossible to refute his words!

Winning against Detroit was mandatory, following the rout in triple overtime against the Kings. Fortunately for the Lakers, this time they did not fail in the task, especially thanks to their leaders. LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook were indeed in the oven and the mill on the floor of the Staples Center, accumulating no less than 82 points to ensure the victory. On top of that, they were remarkably clever, with a nice 63% cumulative shooting (32/51).

A high-level performance therefore for the star trio, which should reassure many skeptics about them. However, some observers are not yet completely satisfied, including Kendrick Perkins. The former player has certainly highlighted the match of the King and his acolytes on Twitter, but adding in the passage that he now wanted to see it more often. Once is good, the whole season is much more interesting.

Kendrick Perkins expects consistency from Lakers

Impressive… but they have yet to repeat that, over time!

Difficult to prove the colossus wrong on this occasion, because this lack of regularity is precisely the biggest flaw of the Crimson and Gold, since the resumption of competition. Winning two games in a row seems to be next to impossible for them, making it difficult to develop a good rhythm. The good news is that LeBron is well aware of this and shares the opinion of the 2008 champion. He also immediately replied in the comments:

You are absolutely right, I totally agree with you!

Winning it against the Pistons was a first step for the Californians, who will see their Big Three put out their best performance of the year. Now, he needs to be able to show that against higher caliber opponents. The local derby against the Clippers will in fact be a life-size test for Frank Vogel’s men, especially as a success would allow them to get closer to the Top 6. It is up to them to do what is necessary.

Kendrick Perkins and LeBron James agree on one point, the Lakers still have a lot to prove in 2021_22. If they manage to set up a cruising pace, then the 2020 champions will once again be a serious customer in the title race.
