LeBron or Jordan? A Laker slices and goes cash!

NBA / Elite Sport TV (DR)

After a slight break during the period of absence of LeBron James, the discussion to establish the GOAT resumed with a vengeance after the King’s big performance against the Pacers. One of his teammates at the Lakers did not do in detail when deciding between his leader and Michael Jordan!

At 37 years old, the opportunities to expand a little more his track record, and to garnish his CV with shining lines are scarce. It is therefore in his best interest not to let slip the one who presents himself to him this year. Closer to retirement than ever, LeBron James is still looking to propel his team to the title this season. An accomplishment that could indeed be enough to make him the GOAT according to a famous analyst.

However, the Larry O’Brien trophy still seems a long way off for the Lakers at the start of the season. Deprived of the King for more than half of their matches, the Angelinos barely manage to stay in the positive (10-10), and in the play-in zone (9th in the West). Without LBJ, they would surely be very far from it!

Malik Monk puts LeBron ahead of Jordan for the GOAT

LA’s LeBron-addiction came true again on Wednesday, as Frank Vogel’s men moved into Indiana. Returning after a suspension match, the franchise leader made the powder talk, with a masterclass delivered in the clutch to offer victory to his family. A few minutes after the final buzzer, Malik Monk did not try to hide his admiration for him.

Malik Monk after LeBron’s exploits: “He’s always done it. That’s why he’s the GOAT, man. (…) Like, he’s the Jordan of our generation. “

As James’ teammate, the young scorer practically had to deliver such a speech, and dub him as the best player of all time at the expense of Michael Jordan.

The rest of his statement, however, is interesting. At only 23 years old, Monk grew up in front of LeBron’s prowess, and is therefore bound to be more sensitive to his heritage than to that of MJ. It could therefore be, within a few years, that the general public’s perspective will change in this debate, and that the young generation will make the native of Akron number 1 in the race for the GOAT!

Former Hornets player, and therefore employee of Michael Jordan, Malik Monk still favors his teammate LeBron James in the fight for the GOAT. His ex-manager in Charlotte will appreciate!
