LBSAM: The Indians of Trois-Rivières-Ouest in the spotlight

The Mauricie Senior A Baseball League has unveiled its players of the year, as well as the names of the finalists for each category.

The title of Best Hitter 2021 went to Frédéric Lebeau, of Louiseville. The pitcher of the year is none other than his teammate Bruno Elliot. The latter was nominated with Émile Beaulieu and Éric Perreault, from Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade, Louis-Philippe, from Saint-Maurice, and his teammate, Jean-Simon Lemay.

The title of Head Coach of the Year went to Francis Cossette of Saint-Paulin. The other nominated coaches were Sébastien Rompré (Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade), Fernand Lebeau (Louiseville), Denis Lefebvre (Saint-Maurice) and Philippe Deshaies (Nicolet).

The rookie of the year played for Nicolet, Gabriel Moisan. Gabriel Désilets (Saint-Maurice), Dave Morinville (Saint-Paulin), Olivier Gélinas (Sainte-Ursule) and Pier-Olivier Gagnon (Louiseville) accompanied him to the ballot.

The award for the Most Valuable Player to his team went to Marc-André Fournier (Saint-Maurice). The other nominations were Bruno Elliot (Louiseville), Joey Blouin (Saint-Paulin), Émile Beaulieu (Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade), William Armstrong (Sainte-Ursule) and Éric Duval (Trois-Rivières-Ouest).

The Best Molson Canadian Defensive Player of the Year is Charles Lemire (Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade), while the Best Coors Light defensive player was Francis Lebeau (Louiseville). For his part, Jeanot Guay-Fleurant (Nicolet) inherited the Player for the best sportsmanship award.

The Trois-Rivières-Ouest Indians were the team with the best sportsmanship. The referee of the year is Gabriel Piché, while Zoé Plouffe inherits the Marker of the year award.
