Lazio must meet Maurizio Sarri’s conditions if they want to extend their contract: Okezone Bola

ROMA Lazio reportedly wants to extend the contract of the coach, Maurizio Sarri. However, Sarri turned out to put forward conditions that Lazio must meet before signing a new contract.

Sarri’s contract at Lazio will only expire in 2023. However, Le Aquile – Lazio’s nickname – is satisfied with the performance of the club from the Italian capital under Sarri’s tutelage and wants to give the coach a long-term project.

Therefore, as reported by Italian Football, Wednesday (1/12/2021), Lazio hopes to provide a contract extension. That way, Sarri will lead the club until 2024, with the option of a one-year extension, until 2025.

However, Sarri has conditions before signing a contract extension. He wants Lazio to commit to signing the quality players it so desperately needs.

Currently, Lazio is known to be in need of a new goalkeeper and midfielder. Understandably, there are several players he has now expected to leave next summer.

Not only that, Sarri also needs a back-up striker, who can replace Ciro Immobile. While in the defense sector, Sarri seems to need a new left-back.

The number of things that must be met makes Sarri want Lazio to commit. Understandably, he is determined to bring the city rivals AS Roma to look good in the Italian League.

Under Sarri’s tutelage, Lazio are now in eighth place in the Italian League standings. They collected 21 points, the result of six wins, three draws and five defeats.
