Lavaur. Football: a defeat that falls badly before the derby against the US Albi

Sunday afternoon, Lavaur FC, leader of its regional group 3 fell for the first time of the season in the league on Sunday afternoon against FC Negrepelisse Montricoux (2-0). It was a day without for the proteges of Vincent Breffel who could never worry the Tarn-et-Garonnais. Reduced to ten per hour of play, the Vauréens showed too many shortcomings to hope to bring back a positive result. With this first setback of the season, Lavaur FC not only cedes its leader’s seat in favor of Mazamet, but sees Rangueil FC and FC Negrepelisse Montricoux, two other serious candidates for R2, join them in the standings. “On our way, which should allow us to climb at the end of the season, we will experience defeats, but we will need as little as possible,” said Lavaur FC president Philippe Jarriot. From this week, mobilization is required in the ranks of Lavaur FC, especially as the meeting against US Albi (6th with points) on Saturday is of particular importance in the Tarn. “It remains a derby against a team which has recently evolved to a very good level”, underlines Philippe Jarriot, who hopes that his players in the pennant team will display a different spirit than on Sunday. Because the equation is simple for Gaël Chavanne’s teammates: a victory and the Vauréens relaunch in the race to climb, a defeat and they will have to revise their ambitions downwards for the end of the season. Verdict Saturday at 8 p.m.

In an exceptional situation, exceptional device. Following the order taken by the prefect of Tarn a few days ago, the sanitary pass will be requested at the entrance to the stadium for the Lavaur FC – US Albi match (Saturday 27 November at 6 p.m.) and wearing a mask will be compulsory inside the stadium.
