Lauric Jean, former hope of Belgian table tennis, confides: “I have never compared myself to Jean-Michel Saive”

The player has taken a step back as he makes one of his best starts to the season.

At 28, Lauric Jean is no longer the eternal hope of Belgian table tennis. The leader of La Villette – whom we have for a long time (too?) Compared to Jean-Michel Saive – has been able to lead his own career.

How is your start to the season going?

“Between Holland, France and Belgium, the results are quite good. I signed twelve victories for only one narrow defeat.”

How are your different clubs doing?

“In France, with Jeumont, we will try to join National 1. In Holland, we won the playoffs, with Benjamin Rogier, a compatriot. We will try to win the title again.” (…)
