Kevin De Bruyne is one of the 11 candidate players to receive the FIFA Best Award, the prize that had crowned Robert Lewandowski in 2020. The Bayern Münich striker is once again one of the candidates, as is Lionel Messi (sacred 6 times) and Cristiano Ronaldo (5 times).
The other candidates are Karim Benzema, Erling Haaland, Jorginho, Kylian Mbappé, Neymar, N’Golo Kanté and Mohamed Salah.
The ceremony to be held on January 17 will also reward the best player, the best coaches (male and female) and the best goalkeepers (male and female). In this last category Thibaut Courtois is not one of the 5 candidates. Alisson Becker, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Edouard Mendy, Manuel Neuer and Kasper Schmeichel will try to win the reward.
