Judo, Taffarel fifth at the Italian Junior Championships | Today Treviso | News

VITTORIO VENETO – The finals of the Italian junior men’s and women’s championships took place on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 November a Ostia, at the Palapellicone.
The tricolor event reserved for the Under 21 class has registered the registration of 401 athletes belonging to 178 sports clubs.

The Kodokan judo athlete Vittorio Veneto Erica Taffarel participated in the final in the +78 kg category with the important goal of win the black belt. Erica immediately proved determined and focused to give her all in this race and in the first meeting he won for wazari and then ippon of his special technique, against an athlete from Palermo. She did not manage to overtake the Friulian athlete Asya Tavano who was reconfirmed for the fourth time as Italian champion of the category but completed her race path stopping at the foot of the podium.
