Joan Mir Threatens To Leave Suzuki: I Want To Be With A Hungry Team

KEBUMEN TALK – Joan Mir likes it or not, he has to be willing to let go of the 2021 MotoGP world title into the hands of Monster Energy Yamaha racer, Fabio Quartararo.

Despite appearing quite competitive by winning six podiums, Mir failed to gain a single victory in the 18 series held in MotoGP this season.

His best achievement this season is the two podium finishes he got in the Styria GP (Austria) and the Algarve GP (Portugal).

To Motosan.es, Joan Mir recently spoke about his third season in MotoGP, which he admits wasn’t too bad.

“We had a good season, we can’t say it was bad because we were finish third (in the final drivers standings),” said Joan Mir, quoted by KebumenTalk.com from Tuttomotoriweb.it.

But personally Mir admitted that he was disappointed because he could not win a single race in MotoGP this season.

“I love to win and not being able to do it is pretty hard to accept,” he admits.

You could say Joar Mir’s defeat in the struggle title this season’s world champions are not due to mistakes or poor performance, but because the Suzuki bike is far behind in terms of development compared to other manufacturers.
