The business of the hit bard Alberto Colucci could be doing really well again soon. In 1974 Colucci came “with 50,000 lira from his father and hand luggage by train to Germany, where he was soon earning his first money as a composer and studio musician” – so a biography on the net. Today the man lives in Reinheim in southern Hesse on the edge of the Odenwald and offers his musical services as follows: “It doesn’t matter whether it’s a company event, soccer party or gala – you can expect a live show full of Italian feelings and joie de vivre.”

Sounds a bit appalling, but at least Colucci is responsible for one of the country’s most rousing stadium songs: “The sun is shining”, the acoustic trademark of the second division soccer team SV Darmstadt 98.
