IES La Orden badminton exhibition on Paseo de la Ría

The Paseo de la Ría turned badminton in the afternoon of this Tuesday. The Recreational IES La Orden conducted a display of this discipline in the auditorium of the promenade, on the occasion of the support that the Port of Huelva provides to the club’s quarry.

The afternoon was wrapped in rackets and shuttlecocks, in order to bring badminton closer to the citizens of Huelva. The quarry of the club was able to show themselves developing the sport they like the most and from which they learn every day from the hand of IES La Orden. In addition, many people from Huelva joined the event, interested in what this sport can teach them.

Authorities from the Port of Huelva were present at the event, such as its president Pilar Miranda, and the club, María Eugenia Lorenzo as president and Paco Ojeda as sports director.

The Port of Huelva “commits” to this sport and offers its support to the club for the continuous training of the quarry. For her part, María Eugenia Lorenzo declared that “our intention has been to take badminton out of the sports centers and bring it closer to the people”.

In addition, he added that “thanks to the Port of Huelva for the facilities they have given us.” Finally, he expressed his satisfaction after the event “we are very happy with the response we have had this afternoon.
