These are hours of apprehension. For the past three days, since Sunday evening there has been no news of Sebastiano Bianchi, the 29-year-old winger of the Legnano Basket Knights who plays in the Serie B championship. The company reported that it was “in constant contact with family members, awaiting news”. On Sunday after playing against Sangiorgese, Bianchi “returned to his home in Verbania”, explains the club, and then left “without giving notice to the family”. His car was found near Lake Maggiore, where for now the searches of the fire brigade have given negative results. The car was regularly parked on the lakeside of Pallanza, near the Verbania carabinieri barracks. It was open. Inside some personal effects. The phone was at home: reset. “Sebastiano is single. Bianchi lives in Verbania but is well known in Legnano (north-west hinterland of Milan) for his long militancy in the local basketball team. Born in 1992, the player grew up in the youth teams of Varese Basketball and then gained experience in various clubs, including Tortona, Cento, Omegna and Sangiorgese. Al Legnano, with whom he had played in A2 a few years ago, was back in the summer and on Sunday evening with 14 points he was the best scorer of the team despite the 72-67 defeat in the derby.
