The Lakers’ 121:11 success on Sunday evening (local time) in the Little Caesars Arena resulted in unsightly scenes. In the third quarter, both athletes fought for the rebound after a free throw from Jerami Grant (27), when mega-star James hit the young Pistons Center in the face.

Immediately the front court player’s blood flowed over the angry expression. The 20-year-old jumped up from the ground at lightning speed and wanted to attack the quadruple MVP, teammates and referees intervened.

Stewart could hardly calm down and took several attempts to somehow get through to James, but luckily in vain.

Subsequently, both opponents were put off the floor, LeBron because of a “Flagrant 2” foul – an unnecessary and excessively harsh contact – Stewart received two technical fouls after his quick temper.

It took over two minutes for the angry Pistons player to finally leave the field. He is even said to have tried to intercept the Lakers star when he went into the cabin.

Even if the injury looked painful, James can hardly be accused of intent. The 17-time NBA All-Star probably even wanted to apologize directly, but Stewart couldn’t be tamed how Sportsrush reported.

The Lakers were 12 points behind at this point, but after the mess, Anthony Davis, 28, and Russell Westbrook, 33, took over and turned the match in the final quarter.

Stewart’s wound then had to be sutured with five stitches. Nevertheless, the colleagues involved had no understanding for the freaking out of the 113-kilo giant, like Sport 1 reported.

“I don’t know what he wanted – but not a single player on our team would have allowed that,” said Anthony Davis after the match, adding: “We’ll protect our brother! As long as I’ve been playing, I’ve never seen one Player tried that. “

The scene also brought back unpleasant memories of a nasty brawl in 2004 between the Indiana Pacers, the Detroit Pistons and fans in the stands that went down in history as “Malice at the Palace”.

At that time, a thrown cup sparked the greatest brawl in NBA history. Fortunately, it didn’t get that far this time.
