Halles des Sports: The snow did not cool the judokas

It was heating up on the tatami mats during this great sports weekend at the Halle des Sports which hosted the 18th tournament in the city of Gérardmer, the best hopes of regional judo were gathered for this competition, the most important of the Grand Est in terms of effective.

Back after a long absence following the cancellation of the 2020 edition due to the health crisis, the tatamis were out this weekend at the Halles des Sports which welcomed a thousand judokas from all over Lorraine to participate at the 18th edition of the tournament in the city of Gérardmer. The president of the Gerom club, Mikaël Bussière, was on all fronts, accompanied by sports educators, around thirty volunteers and around twenty referees to ensure the sporting part and the convivial side of this event.

As for the theater of operations, there was a huge tatami mat composed of 5 combat surfaces for nearly 350 carpets covering almost the entire floor of the room. The fierce but fair-play clashes began at 9:30 am this Saturday morning with the Minimes and the Benjamins, followed in the afternoon by the Cadets and, a big novelty this year, the participation of the Junior / Senior and Veterans categories.

The public had also responded to the rendezvous of this beautiful sporting event perfectly orchestrated by the Judo Club of Gérardmer.
