Freddie Freeman Receives Babe Ruth Award

Freddie Freeman was named the World Series MVP by the New York Baseball Writers Association and received the Babe Ruth Award, the AP reported.

The Atlanta Braves first baseman earns this award given each year by the New York division of the MLB Sports Journalists Guild.

Freeman hit .304 with 5 home runs and 11 RBIs in 16 postseason games in 2021.

Freeman is one of the figures on the Georgia squad roster, which won its first major league title since the 1995 campaign.
