Football Manager 2022 will not make it to Xbox Game Pass in Brazil

Football Manager 2022, a strategy game that arrives on November 9, will not be added to the Brazilian Xbox Game Pass catalogue. The information was confirmed by the local Xbox advisory after questioning the Canaltech.

The game has not been sold in Brazil since 2017. According to the producer Sports Interactive and the distributor SEGA, this is due to licensing issues, that is, companies do not have the rights to use the names, colors and symbols of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), of the teams of the country and of the players. O Canaltech explains all the whys in this matter.

In the United States, for example, Football Manager 2022 will hit the Game Pass on launch day in both PC and console versions called Xbox Edition. The game’s covers also appear in the service’s advertising image for future games, which Xbox often publishes on social media and the Xbox Wire blog. Here in the country, however, the covers were removed and the blog also makes no mention.

We still don’t know if it will be possible to play the game simply by changing the region of the Xbox account or the console or computer itself. Changing this setting is not an illegal practice.

Football Manager 2022 will be released on November 9th for PC, macOS, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Android and iOS phones. Check out more information about the games coming to the Game Pass in November here.
