Feyenoord purveyor to the Telegraaf’s Team of the Week

Feyenoord impressed on Sunday with the 4-0 victory over PEC Zwolle and there were also several individual stars. Romano Denneboom, who Monday on behalf of The Telegraph put together the Eredivisie Team of the Week, designated no fewer than four. This made the team the direct supplier to that team.

Up front it were goalscorers Bryan Linssen and Luis Sinisterra who got a place in the team. “Linssen is my player of the week”, Denneboom started. “It’s great how he keeps adapting to a higher level. He had a hard time at Feyenoord in the beginning, but is now one of the most important players in a position that is not even his by nature.”

De Schiedammer also remembered the initial doubts about Sinisterra. “When he came to Feyenoord as a big purchase, people have not seen him for a long time. I went to see Jong Feyenoord on Monday evening and then I thought: oh yes, they still have them. Now he is showing great things, too. after a very serious knee injury.”

Trauner in Malacia
Although PEC Zwolle did not create much danger, Denneboom also saw two strong players in the back of Feyenoord: Gernot Trauner and Tyrell Malacia. “Trauner is really one of those players who needs a team. He doesn’t do stupid things, but only the right things. He comes from abroad, but at a club like Feyenoord he very quickly became someone who is now one of the first on the team. the sign stands.”

“Malacia comes from the youth. That goes with trial and error, but he has already made it to Orange”, said Denneboom, also a one-time international, about the last Feyenoord in his team. “I was there during his basic debut against Manchester City (Napoli, ed.) in the Champions League. He was really there then. He reminds me a bit of Jetro Willems, because Malacia has really good technique. I am curious what will be his next step, although I think that being an even more important year at Feyenoord will do him good.”
