Feyenoord also against Heracles without first goalkeeper Bijlow

Feyenoord cannot rely on first keeper Justin Bijlow in the home game against Heracles Almelo. The international already missed the duels with Slavia Prague (2-2) and FC Twente (0-0) due to a positive corona test and is not yet ready to play on Wednesday evening.

As a result, Ofir Marciano will once again be under the bar. The 32-year-old Israeli did not make the best impression in the Conference League match with Slavia Prague, but did keep a clean sheet a few days later against Twente.

Trainer Arne Slot expects that he will have access to Orkun Kökcü and attacker Luis Sinisterra. The pair went to the side injured early on Sunday, but seem to have recovered in time for the make-up match against Heracles Almelo.

Not easy

Slot does not expect an easy game against Heracles, which is fourteenth with fourteen points. “As a team, Heracles Almelo puts a lot of work into the game. They can also sustain that well. This means they have one of the fittest teams in the Eredivisie.”
