European Agricultural Enterprise Funds, accountants can certify spending: this will unlock liquidity

The Sicilian accountants can certify the expenses of the projects that agricultural enterprises have presented to the European Community. This translates into a considerable streamlining of the bureaucratic process and, consequently, the possibility for agricultural businesses to see the liquidity released at the moment frozen by the bureaucracy.

The protocol between the Region and the Regional Coordination of the Orders of Accountants, headed by Maurizio Attinelli, was signed yesterday in the fifth Commission of the Ars in the presence of the Councilor for Agriculture, Toni Scilla, of the general manager Dario Cartabellotta and by the president of the Commission Giuseppe Compagnone.

“The signing of the protocol – said Maurizio Attinelli – has a very important value that will give a breath of fresh air to Sicilian agricultural companies that will be able to have their accountant certified their expenditure for European projects and, at that point, will immediately receive the resources financial due “. Basically, the Region manages the European funds, but encounters considerable difficulties in examining the practices in order to proceed with the reporting, for which the procedures suffer a strong slowdown and, consequently, liquidity is not released, in the form of reimbursement, for companies that have already made investments thanks to European funds. “

Already a few months ago Attinelli had proposed to the Region a collaboration with the accountants who have made themselves available in order to unblock the practices that have been stuck for too long.

“This protocol – comments Maurizio Attinelli – strengthens the role of accountants who can be even more useful and determined for the success of financial activities and above all help companies that in this way will be able to receive resources more quickly” .
