Curry’s display against Ricky’s Cavaliers

The Warriors point guard leads his team’s comeback with 20 points in the fourth quarter, while the Spaniard could only add 10 points and 5 assists

Stephen Curry donned the NBA superstar suit in the Warriors’ victory over the Cavaliers (89-104). The Golden State guard finished the game as the leading scorer with 40 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals, but he decided the game when he scored 20 points in the fourth quarter.

Curry was seconded by teammate Draymond Green, who had 14 rebounds, the same as Cleveland center Ed Davis. Meanwhile, in the Cavaliers guard Darius Garland was the leading scorer with 25 points while the team’s point guard, Ricky Rubio added 10 points, 5 assists and 2 steals.

The Spaniard received an award from the NBA in “recognition of his continued efforts to improve the lives of children and families, particularly those impacted by cancer.” It is the fifth time the NBA has awarded a player the award for his work from the end of the regular season to the start of the following season.

With this award, the best basketball league in the world recognizes the work in Spain and the United States of the Ricky Rubio Foundation to improve the hospital experience of cancer patients and their families. The player is very concerned after his mother was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2012 and passed away from the disease in 2016.

Rubio was honored to receive this award, although he acknowledged that “there are many NBA players who are working in their communities and I am fortunate to have been chosen.”
