Current Premier League Results and Standings: MU Continues to Slump

All matches of the 12th week of the Premier League have been completed. Manchester United is battered and its position in the standings continues to sag.

The Leicester City vs Chelsea duel at the King Power Stadium, Saturday (20/11/2021) night WIB, became the opening of the 12th week. The Blues managed to come home with a 3-0 win and make it even stronger at the top of the standings after collecting 29 points.

The surprise happened at Watford headquarters on the same day. Manchester United was crushed 1-4 after two goals down in the first half and in the second half they had to play with 10 men.

United in their last seven Premier League games with Solskjaer have been very poor. There have been five defeats and only one win with the others ending in a draw.

The Red Devils then slipped to eighth position in the Premier League standings with 17 points or 12 points behind Chelsea as the leader of the standings. Bad results could happen again because next weekend to meet the Blues at Stamford Bridge.

As a result of the defeat, Man United also split Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Michael Carrick temporarily takes on the task that Ole left.

Arsenal also had bad luck against Liverpool at Anfield. Mikel Arteta’s team was crushed 0-4, but the position in the standings is still fifth.

Manchester City have been successful against Chelsea. The Citizens just beat Everton 3-0. In the other match, Tottenham Hotspur were able to pick a 2-1 victory from Leeds United.
