Cuba with the fifth largest delegation in Cali ›Sports› Granma

The Cuban delegation for the I Pan American Youth Games in Cali-Valle 2021 made official the registration of 212 athletes, but increased to 90 the tests in which they will participate from next day 25.

José Antonio Miranda, general director of High Performance at Inder, said that Cuba will depend on 117 boys and 95 girls, with the inclusion in the mixed judo tournament.

“It is an option that we had pending and we were able to make it a reality, which offers another possibility for judocas,” added Miranda, in statements to Jit.

Cuba ranks as the fifth delegation with the highest number of athletes, a list that is led by Mexico (383), followed by Colombia (378), Brazil (359) and Argentina (276).

In this regard, the mayor of Cali, Jorge Iván Ospina, highlighted the Cuban delegation for their commitment to have their best athletes at the event. (Sports Writing)
