Corrientes Básquet has already defined the date and time of its quarter-final match. It will be against Unión Florida, next Sunday and Monday. They will face those of Vicente López in Buenos Aires, at the best of two games and both will be televised.
The games will be at 9pm, and they will go on the screen of basquetpass.tv and DirecTV (Monday). The first match will take place at the Estadio Ciudad de Vicente López, from Platense, and the final game will be played at El Templo de Rock, from Obras Sanitarias de la Nación.
The porteñas have already defeated Corrientes Básquet in a tight match with a controversial ending. It was a 60-58 for the second day of the tournament, at the beginning of the current month.
It will then be a duel with pleasure for revenge for those led by Renato Novatti, who reached this stage despite losing to Berazategui and Obras last weekend.
They arrived at this stage after reaching 6th place (3 wins and 5 losses), while Unión Florida was placed in 3rd place (6 wins and 2 losses).
The series is played to the best of two games, where the team that wins both games will keep the classification. If each team wins one, it will be determined by the goal difference in both duels. If equality in points persists, the team that has finished better positioned in the regular phase will classify.
The teams that qualify for the semifinals will play that instance on December 14 and 15, also for the best of two games. The final will be a single match on December 19.
The Corrientes team beat Rocamora in the debut, and Quimsa and Catamarca in local condition. Meanwhile, Unión Florida defeated Quimsa and Catamarca Basket in their last challenges and their losses had also been against Berazategui and Obras.
Before the call to the 3×3 National Team of several players from different teams for the Junior Pan American Championship in Cali (from November 2 to 5), some teams will not have full rosters and requested the rescheduling of their series.
