Colombian Medals in Junior Pan American Games

With a total of 20 medals, Colombia defends its status as host of the Cali 2021 Junior Pan American Games. The national delegation is located -partially- in the third position of the table, which is led by Brazil, followed by the United States.

Track cycling, weightlifting, swimming, racing, mountain biking, and taekwondo have been the disciplines that report gold medals for Colombia, so far. Of the 20 medals obtained so far, eight are gold, one is silver and 11 are bronze.

José Villar in weightlifting opened the golden path for Colombia, then the turn was for Jhon Deivi Garrido in taekwondo and in swimming races, the shining went to Karen Durango and Santiago Corredor. Then the harvest came in track cycling, where Anderson Arboleda won the omnium and both men’s and women’s teams won first place for our country.

This Saturday the competitions of the I Pan American Junior Games Cali 2021 continue, where the host delegation will seek to continue adding medals that allow it to conquer third place in the table at the end of the jousts, which will run until December 5.

Squash, track cycling, weightlifting, artistic gymnastics, swimming races, swimming dives, judo, taekwondo, canoeing and BMX cycling are the disciplines in which an outstanding performance of the Colombian team is expected.
