Fan brawl in Lisbon!
Tonight (9:00 p.m., live on bild.de in the ticker) BVB is playing at Sporting Lisbon for a place in the knockout round of the Champions League.
Already on Tuesday evening there were riots in the Portuguese capital in which BVB ultras were involved. Several of them were arrested. The “kicker” had first reported about the incident.
The incident is said to have occurred in the Lisbon district of Bairro Alto. Many fans were there, and there was a lot of alcohol.
Around 11.40 p.m. it is said to have started the riot on Rua da Atalaia. A total of around 40 people were involved. In addition to a total of seven to nine arrests, there were also two injured police officers.
The accused BVB Ultras will be brought before the judge today. Then it will be decided how to proceed with them. It is unknown whether Sporting fans were also involved.
BVB confirmed the incident when asked by BILD. The further details, such as the reason for the escalation, are still unclear.
