Bold Academy Judo: the awakening of a big club in Enghien-les-Bains

By creating the Bold Academy Judo – an English-speaking Enghiennese club that values ​​daring and rigor -, Rayane Hamdaoui think big.

The 24-year-old judoka, who completed his 15 years of competition and his first four years as a coach at theAM Saint-Gratien, brought back former national-level Valdoisiens (from Escales Argenteuil, Beaumont and VOI Judo) who had left elsewhere in Île-de-France, welcomed friends from the Pôle France and began to train very young (3-5 years) at Dojo Leveillard (Enghien).

“My best friend, the only license holder from Am Saint-Gratien that I accepted, and a promising youngster trained at Jc Montigny-lès-Cormeilles, partner club, thanks to our 2e Professor Tarak Hakiri, where our seniors train three times a week, are the only exceptions ”, explains the president, who was a member of the Pôle France de Strasbourg and of the French team, champion of France by cadet teams in 2013 and 3rd in the Eindhoven junior tournament in 2015.

Return of wonders

From its first competition, at the Senior Departmental Championships, Bold Academy Judo won as many titles (3) as Am Saint-Gratien (No. 1 in Valdois since 2016). “We would have obtained seven of the possible seven podiums without the injury of Salem Boumallah,” he said. Fulfilled Zoba Casi (3rd in France cadets 2018 in +70 kg and 3rd in the 2021 Cadet European Cup in Bucharest) won in +78 kg. Goran Jankovic (vice-champion of France by cadet teams 2013) and Hermann Djiguiba (3rd of France juniors 2016 in -100 kg) were titled in -81 kg and in +100 kg.

Collective goal

Heydar Ouchen (2018 French cadet champion in -50 kg; 3rd in -60 kg), Kemcy Benguesmi (3rd by teams at Euro Cadets 2016, 3rd in -73 kg) and Jean-Dany Mondesir (French military champion of the -90 kg in 2014, 3rd in -100 kg) were medalists. On December 4, the Enghiennois club will try to win the departmental title by senior men’s teams with its former French champions Thomas Renaudin (junior 2015 in? 55 kg) and Alan Caillouey (cadet 2014 in -73 kg) and two -90 kg ( Edwin Armede and Naïm Hamdaoui).
