Betis devastates an Elche in crisis of results

Real Betis broke its negative dynamic and deepened that of Elche after winning with authority 0-3 in its visit to Martínez Valero stadium in a game without history that the Sevillian team resolved in a plethora of first 26 minutes.

Manuel Pellegrini’s team was an offensive gale in the first act against an opponent unknown, fragile in defense and null in attack, who improved his pose in the second period, when with one more player due to the expulsion of Bellerín he had several occasions to close the gap.

From the first minute Betis came out determined to corner Elche. The first minute of play was not yet over when Alex Moreno He had the first chance, but his shot crashed into the side of the net.

Betis’ offensive monologue was overwhelming, although it was a bad clearance from Mojica that triggered the hecatomb of Elche. Álex Moreno picked up the Colombian’s ball to attend Juanmi, who only had to cross the ball into the net against Edgar Badía.

The goal made Elche feel bad and triggered the confidence of Betis, who monopolized possession of the ball to play at leisure. Just a few minutes after the goal, Willian jose he saw how the referee canceled a second goal for offside.

With no time to complain, Betis returned to the charge and Edbar Badía avoided a new goal after a great play of his attack culminated by Fekir with a focused shot.

Elche was a bundle of nerves and Betis a gale, with Fekir pulling the strings in the midpoint, always associating himself successfully with Canales, Willian José and Juanmi.

The Sevillian team found the second goal at 23 minutes, after an innocent Penalty committed by Barragán on Juanmi that the Brazilian William José was in charge of transforming.

Elche definitively collapsed and Betis penalized a new defensive error in the exit of the ball, now through Fekir, to score the third goal with a shot close to the post.

With 0-3 on the scoreboard, Manuel Pellegrini’s team took a break and let Elche lead the game initiative, but without any real danger to his goal beyond an individual action that Lucas Boyé could not resolve against Rui Silva.

Pastore, the reference player in Elche’s attack, only appeared in the final stretch of the first act, although always far from the area. His performance was so gray that the Elche coach, Fran Scribe, replaced him at the beginning of the second half, which the Elche team faced with two changes.

The group from Elche showed a more ambitious pose in search of a goal that would get them into the game, although they also Betis enjoyed space to seek the fourth goal.

Elche pulled out of self-love to dominate a relaxed Betis who just let the minutes go by. As a result of that relaxation came the expulsion of Bellerín, in the 67th minute, for knocking down Tete Morente when he went straight to the Sevillian goal.

The group from Elche refreshed their bands and opted for two center forwards to look for the centers to the area. The clearest occasion was Lucas Boyé, ten minutes from the end, but Rui Silva guessed the direction of the shot in hand-to-hand.

The Portuguese goalkeeper was also quick to reflexes to avoid a goal from Guido Carrillo, already in the last moments of a match whose history was written in the first 26 minutes.
