Bea Corrales goes to second round in Indonesia

The Spanish Bea Corrales has qualified for the second round of the Indonesian Badminton Open, beating the French Marie Batomene in three sets.

Corrales, who had lost in August to the French midfielder, knew how to overcome a match that turned uphill after losing the first set (21-23) and also starting the second badly (0-5), but from that moment on began to react and balanced the encounter with a clear 21-14.

In the third and final game, the Spaniard finally resolved the partial and the match in her favor (21-17) after numerous alternatives.

Corrales will face South Korean Sim Yujin, who has never been measured and who is just ahead of her in the world rankings, in the second round.

The Madrid player is the only Spanish player to continue in the tournament after Clara Azurmendi lost on Tuesday. The two together also lost in the doubles draw.
