Arsenal vs Watford Result: 1-0

Bola.net – Arsenal managed to win in the match week 11 of the EPL 2021/22. hosting Watford at the Emirates Stadium, The Gunners managed to win by a narrow score 1-0.

Arsenal managed to get full points in this match thanks to the only goal Emile Smith-Rowe.

Playing in front of their own supporters, Arsenal appeared to press from the start. They stepped on the gas and bombarded the Watford goal with their attacks.

Only seven minutes into the game, the Watford goal was shaking after Bukayo Saka’s shot hit Foster’s goal. But unfortunately this goal was annulled by the referee because the winger was already in an offside position first.

Despite failing to score goals, Arsenal did not relax their attacks. They continue to dominate possession and attack the defence The Hornets, where Watford only occasionally come out to counterattack.

Towards the end of the first half, Watford got disastrous after Danny Rose was deemed to have committed a foul on Alexandre Lacazette during an aerial duel and the referee pointed to the penalty spot. But unfortunately Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s penalty was successfully read by Ben Foster so that the penalty failed to become a goal. The score 0-0 lasted until the referee blew the whistle signaling the end of the first half.

Second round

Entering the second half of the game did not change much. Arsenal still dominated the game while Watford still relied on counter-attacks to threaten Arsenal’s goal.

After doing several experiments, Arsenal finally broke the egg in the 56th minute. Smith-Rowe managed to break into Foster’s goal through his shot in the penalty box. VAR had time to check this goal because there were indications of a foul before this goal was created, but VAR still approved the goal, so Arsenal won 1-0.

Goals that make Arsenal more confident attack. They continue to bombard the Watford goal with their attacks.

In the 73rd minute, Arsenal substitute Martin Odegaard managed to strike the ball into the Watford goal. But unfortunately VAR annulled the goal, because Odegaard’s low shot hit the leg of Aubameyang who was already in an offside position. So the goal was declared invalid.

In the 86th minute Arsenal almost conceded, because Aaron Ramsdale came out too early from the penalty box and Joshua King got past him. But unfortunately King failed to direct the ball into an empty net, so Watford failed to equalize.

In the 88th minute Watford had to play with 10 men after Juraj Kucka made a hard foul on Nuno Tavares in front of the referee. Without thinking twice, the referee issued a second yellow card to Kucka so the former AC Milan had to take an early shower.

The buying and selling of attacks continued until injury time, but the 1-0 score remained for the hosts’ advantage.

Thanks to this victory, Arsenal rose to fifth place in the EPL standings with 20 points. While Watford are stuck in 17th place with 10 points.
